"Healthy mind is a healthy body" is the belief at SDS . The college has an active Physical Education Dept. which encourages active participation of students and teachers. The Department understands the importance of physical activities in the present time and organized various sports and competitions for the students throughout the year.
SDS College Sports department Conducted Selections for Athletics, Cycling, Kabadi, Volley ball, Basket ball , Cricket and Chess.
D. Ganesh II BA had bagged 2nd place in Ap State Cycling and also participated in All India Inter University Cycling Competition held at Punjab University in Patiala.
Inter Collegiate & Inter University Athletics S.Gayathri II B.Sc(AMP) had bagged Bronze Medal in 5000mt run . She also bagged Bronze Medal in 1500 mt run.
SDS College Kabadi Team had participated in Inter Collegiate & Inter University at Govt Degree College Bhimnipatnam.
Andhra University Director of Sports Board , SDS Physical Director along with SDS Students.
B. Ganga Raju III B.Sc(AMP) had bagged Gold medal in South Asian Youth Rural Games held at Indo-Nepal International Rangasaya stadium in Nepal.
